dilip is a Brooklyn-based singer, writer, and producer.
Born and raised in an immigrant household in the Midwest, he grew up immersed in a diverse set of musical genres. He was formerly a member of South Asian boy band Penn Masala, through which he toured internationally and made a cameo in the movie Pitch Perfect 2.
He released his solo debut EP, golden, in late 2019 with a series of live events and listening parties. His music weaves R&B and indie influences with pop sensibilities. Fans have compared his sound to that of Mac Ayres, Cautious Clay, Daniel Caesar, Omar Apollo, and SZA.
In 2022, he played a sold-out NYC show at The Delancey, and began releasing a series of singles, starting with Pretend in June. His music has garnered significant fan and press attention as well as over 150,000 Spotify streams to date.
dilip was also a handpicked member of CHAOS, a headless band of 77 artists who collectively released the largest music NFT collection to date. They have been called the “web3 Brockhampton” and were featured in Billboard.
